JAMB To Conduct Aptitude Test For Candidates In The Ongoing Police Recruitment Exercise
Candidates applying in the ongoing police recruitment process will have to write an examination conducted by the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB).
This was disclosed by Jimoh Moshood, the police spokesperson. According to him, this is happening for the first time, candidates to be recruited in to the police force will after the physical screening take a written aptitude test which will be conducted by the Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) to ensure transparency and get the best out of the candidates

In addition to the this, candidates will equally be undergo various forms of medical and fitness test in the various areas
(a) Visual Assessment which covers far and near visual acuity, binocular vision, colour vision, visual field testing and pathology.
(b) General medical test which covers blood pressure, sugar, body mass index, hepatitis b and c, HIV screening, Tuberculosis, antigen in serum and pregnancy test (for women only).
(c) Psychological evolution of the candidates which covers psychological interview, personality and integrity as well as drug screening.
The screening is expected to commence today May 7th, 2018 nationwide.
Recall that President Muhammadu Buhari recently announced that he had approved for the police to recruit 6,000 new officers. The recruitment is to help increase the personnel of the Nigeria Police Force, currently at about 300,000.
